I didn't read the description too carefully -- was just searching for a nice-looking, plain fan in an off-white, so we ordered it without too much thought. It has definitely exceed my expectations -- looks clean, with no fussy light kits, and runs silently. The uplighting is a nice touch that I wasn't even expecting -- it has sort of a subtle upward glow.
Very nice fan at a great price!
