I bought a ceiling fan that had a remote that could control a ceiling fan that is at least 10 feet in the air. It has 3 settings for the fan and also will reverse the fan. It also has a controller to turn on the lights and dim or brighten the lights once on. I got the controller wet and it malfunctioned. I ordered another one and it works as great as the original.

When I purchased the Hampton Bay fan it was for the decorative look. The design is such there is no manual options for reversing the fan, i.e. external switch on the motor or speed changing, light via pull chain. The fan only operates from remote. The factory remote failed. This remote was an exact replacement with all functions including reverse. I could not get a remote in store where I purchased the fan that included reverse.
I opened the package on the Fanimation Remote, Set the dip switches inside to match the previous remote that failed, and installed the battery. First press the remote worked like a charm. If you have a Hampton Bay fan that is this style, I highly recommend this remote. It is a direct replacement.
