We really like this light. It is very bright and we have it on a dimmer switch in our dining room. We have received many comments about how nice is looks. \nThe only bad thing about this style of light (open top of semi-flush mount) is that dead bugs can accumulate in the bottom of the light so I have to get the extensions on the vacuum to clean it out periodically.
